Takezo has wandered the country for years, fighting duels and honing his skills. When he returns to Kyoto, he wants to take on the head of the local school. Meanwhile, the two women of his life, Otsu and Akemi, want Takezo to make a commitment, but Takezo doesn't seem interested in being honorable.
Takezo triumphs in his sword fighting and leaves town in triumph, although he leaves alone having not learned how to deal with the women in his life.
